1972: The Bruce Springsteen Band headlines at Red Bank Catholic High School in Red Bank, New Jersey.

1976: Bruce and the E Street Band play a sparsely attended show at Knoxville Civic Auditorium in Knoxville, Tennessee.

1981: Bruce brings the River Tour to Spain (his first show in that country) for a show at the Palau Municipal D’Esports in Barcelona. Ten songs are filmed, and you can watch them below.

Also today: Gary U.S. Bonds releases his comeback album, Dedication, produced by Stevie and Bruce and featuring three original songs and vocal and instrumental performances by Bruce.

1984: Bruce guests with Clarence Clemons and the Red Bank Rockers at Expo in Mount Ivy, New York.

2000: Bruce and the E Street Band bring the Reunion Tour to Charlotte for a single show at the Coliseum.

2005: Bruce plays his first public warm-up show for his upcoming solo tour, a benefit for World Hunger Year at the Paramount in Asbury Park. Several Devils & Dust tracks get their live premieres and “Part Man, Part Monkey” is played for the first time in 17 years.

2007: Bruce attends the annual Kirsten Ann Carr Fund gala (along with Elvis Costello) at the Tribeca Grill in New York.

2008: Bruce eulogizes Danny Federici at Danny’s funeral in Red Bank. The band’s scheduled show in Tampa is postponed to the following day.

2009: At the first of two nights at Boston’s TD Garden, Bruce and the band play “I’m Bad, I’m Nationwide” (by request) for the first time in 25 years.

2012: Bruce attends the annual Kirsten Ann Car Fund benefit at the Tribeca Grill in New York City.

2017: An amazing assembly of local talent: Bruce, Southside Johnny, Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul and others join forces to form a one-time-only Upstage Jam Band at the Paramount Theater in Asbury Park prior to the premiere of Just Before the Dawn, a documentary about the famous local club.

2018: Bruce and Patti attend (but do not perform at) the 25th Kirsten Ann Carr Fund benefit at the Tribeca Grill in New York City.
