1971: The Bruce Springsteen Band continues their residency at The Student Prince.

1978: Bruce and the E Street Band bring the Darkness Tour to the Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati, where “Detroit Medley” makes its tour premiere. If you can’t make the show, you can listen to a two-hour radio special on Bruce premiering tonight on the King Biscuit Flower Hour.

1981: At Night Two on the River Tour at Chicago’s Rosemont Horizon, Bruce and the E Street Band play the one and only tour performance of “She’s the One,” its last appearance for almost seven years.

1984: On a free day in between shows, Clarence appears as a guest on Late Night with David Letterman, and he performs a familiar song with the Red Bank Rockers.

1985: Bruce shakes up the set list for Night Two in Miami on the Born in the U.S.A. Tour–no tour premieres, but several songs make their return after a month of unchanging sets.

1988: The Human Rights Now! Tour arrives at Camp Nou in Barcelona, where Branford Marsalis guest-stars on “Raise Your Hand.”

1993: Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert appear on the new Late Show with David Letterman. Dave shows a clip of Gene and Bruce chatting backstage after a previous show, and Gene reveals what they discussed in their movie-focused conversation. Check out the clip below:

2003: One final Canadian show on the Rising Tour at the Skydome in Toronto, where Bruce pays tribute to Warren Zevon (who died three days prior) by opening with his only performance to date of “My Ride’s Here.”

2007: Bruce and the E Street Band begin rehearsing for their upcoming Magic Tour at Convention Hall in Asbury Park.

2013: Bruce and the band rehearse for the South American leg of the Wrecking Ball Tour at Movistar Arena in Santiago.

2020: Bruce releases the first single, video, and title track to his upcoming album with the E Street Band, “Letter to You.”

Later in the day, Bruce welcomes the Class of 2024 to Boston College at their First Year Academic Convocation. Bruce presents virtually due to the pandemic, and he takes Q&A following.
