New for 2023: Audio for 1981

1976: Four days before Bruce’s scheduled show at Auburn University, Bruce makes an unannounced visit to the campus… or does he? (h/t Bud McLaughlin)

1981: Bruce and the E Street Band play their first of two nights at Johanneshovs Isstadion in Stockholm.

1984: Bruce and the E Street Band rehearse for the Born in the U.S.A. Tour at what was once Big Man’s West.

1992: Bruce appears in a commercial with Tom Hanks to promote his upcoming appearance on Saturday Night Live.

1993: Bruce’s mini-tour of Spain continues with a show in Gijon, featuring the tour premiere of “Across the Borderline” (with its final verse in Spanish).

1997: On Night Two in Vienna during Bruce’s first-ever tour stop in Austria, Patti makes a guest appearance in the encores, joining Bruce on “Two Hearts.”

2000: Bruce brings the Reunion Tour to Hartford for the first of two nights.

2005: At his solo acoustic show in Denver, Bruce plays the tour debut of “The Promise.”

2006: The Seeger Sessions Tour picks up steam in Manchester with the live premiere of “How Can I Keep From Singing” and the tour debut of the “Cadillac Ranch/Mystery Train” mash-up.

2008: Bruce and the E Street Band (with guests The Mighty Max Horns) play a benefit show at and for the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank, New Jersey. For the very first time, Bruce plays an album in sequence–two, in fact: Darkness on the Edge of Town and Born to Run.

2009: Bruce plays the tour premiere of “Louie Louie” at the Air Canada Center in Toronto on the Working on a Dream Tour.

2013: At the first of two Wrecking Ball shows at HK Areena in Turku, Finland, Bruce and the band play “Brilliant Disguise” for the first time on the tour and open the encores with a rare “Queen of the Supermarket.”

2014: Bruce and Patti fly to Los Angeles for the USC Shoah Foundation’s Ambassadors for Humanity gala, where Bruce performs “The Promised Land” and “Dancing in the Dark.”
