1993: Bruce kicks off World Tour 1993 in Glasgow with an acoustic mini-set–a feature that distinguishes this year’s tour from the one that preceded it. “Lucky Town” is filmed and broadcast the following evening on Top of the Pops.

1996: Bruce’s scheduled solo show in Berlin is postponed to the following month so that he can perform at this year’s Oscars ceremony.

2000: Night Two in Denver along the Reunion Tour.

If you aren’t in Denver tonight, you still have a chance to see The Boss: the movie High Fidelity premieres today, and Bruce has a pivotal cameo.

2008: An “Atlantic City” opener and very rare “None But the Brave” highlight the E Street Band’s show at GM Place in Vancouver, BC on the Magic Tour. For more highlights from this show, see my Where the Band Was report from this show.

2013: Bruce and the  E Street Band wrap up the Australian leg of the Wrecking Ball Tour with a second show at Hanging Rock in Macedon. Jimmy Barnes guests for “Tougher Than the Rest.”

2016: The River Tour (2016 Edition) moves on to the Pepsi Center in Denver.

2021: E Street Radio premieres Episode 20 of Bruce’s From My Home to Yours radio show, entitled “Here Comes the Weekend.”

2024: At Night Two in San Francisco, Bruce and the E Street Band open their show with “Light of Day.”

If you can’t be at the show tonight, you can still catch The Boss on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, where he makes a very funny (and completely improvised) guest appearance.

  1. New for 2025: entry 2024: Bruce’s improvised cameo on “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is so fun to watch; also, loved Susie Essman’s tale of the “Bruce selfie”. (Thanks for finding and sharing.)
