New for 2025: New entry for 1978, 1979, 1996, and 2008

1978: At the Record Plant in New York City, Bruce and his studio team complete the mix for “Darkness on the Edge of Town.

1979: Bruce and the E Street Band rehearse for their upcoming album in Bruce’s home studio in Holmdel, although several of the songs they work on won’t see release for almost four decades.

1981: Bruce postpones a show in Edinburgh to recover from the previous leg of the River Tour.

1988: Detroit radio station WRIF-FM airs a bootleg of last month’s Tunnel of Love Express concert from Worcester, angering Columbia Records executives who can’t envision a day when bootlegs are commonly played on the radio.

1989: Bruce and Julianne Phillips finalize their divorce.

1993: Bruce and his new touring band rehearse in Glasgow before kicking off World Tour 1993. Listen in on the rehearsal session below.

1996: Bruce’s scheduled solo show in Antwerp is postponed to the following month so that he can perform at this year’s Oscars ceremony.

2000: The Reunion Tour comes to the Pepsi Center in Denver for the first of two nights.

2008: In town a day early for their show in Vancouver, Bruce and Max take their sons to see Foo Fighters and Against Me at the Pacific Coliseum.

2013: Bruce and the E Street Band play their first of two nights at Hanging Rock in Macedon, Australia. Jimmy Barnes guests on “Tougher Than the Rest.”

2018: Springsteen on Broadway  continues its theatrical run at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York City.
