1972: The Bruce Springsteen Band headlines a show at Rutgers University.

1975: Bruce’s interview with Bill Ayres (recorded in late 1974) premieres on the radio show On This Rock. It’s not exactly Bruce at his most articulate, but it’s an interesting listen.

1976: The Chicken Scratch Tour moves on to Pittsburgh, for a single show at the Syria Mosque.

1979: Bruce joins Beaver Brown and Asbury Jukes members Joel Gramolini, Kevin Kavanaugh, Ed Manion, and Ritchie Rosenberg for four songs at The Fast Lane in Asbury Park.

1985: The fourth of five nights at Tokyo’s Yoyogi National Gymnasium.

1988: The Tunnel of Love Express finishes its Texas leg with a show at the University of Texas in Austin.

1993: The first of two shows at Sheffield Arena in England.

Before the show, Bruce sits down for an interview that will air shortly before his show at Milton Keynes the following month.

1995: Courtney Cox hosts Saturday Night Live. During her monologue, she reminisces about and relives her big break.

1999: Bruce and the E Street Band bring the Reunion Tour to Cologne, where Wolfgang Niedecken guest-stars in the encores on the tour premiere of “Hungry Heart.” “Brilliant Disguise” and “Working on the Highway” also make their tour debuts tonight.

2000: Bruce and the E Street Band play a Reunion gig at Freedom Hall in Louisville. The set features a rare “Back in Your Arms.”

2005: Bruce rehearses for his upcoming solo acoustic tour at the Paramount Theater in Asbury Park. Fans are delighted when Bruce announces two rehearsal shows in Asbury Park for the following week.

2009: At the first of two nights at the L.A. Sports Arena, Tom Morello guest-stars on “The Ghost of Tom Joad” and “Hard Times (Come Again No More).” Making their tour premieres tonight: “Darkness on the Edge of Town,” “Spirit in the Night,” and “Raise Your Hand.”

2010: Bruce joins Rosanne Cash on stage at Duke University for a live performance of their duet, “Sea of Heartbreak.”

2011: Little Steven’s Underground Garage airs the third and final part of “The Bruce and Stevie Show.” Essential listening for fans of Bruce, Steve, great music, and great friendships.

2014: The High Hopes Tour hits Columbus, bringing with it the tour premiere of “Blinded by the Light.”

2016: Bruce attends the wedding of Max Weinberg’s daughter, Ali.

2018: Bruce takes his mom dancing to celebrate her birthday at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, where the Eddie Testa Band is playing. Bruce intends to join them on-stage but a power outage foils his plans.

2023: Bruce and Patti are scheduled to present (and perform) at the first annual American Music Honors at Monmouth University, but they are unfortunately forced to cancel when they test positive for COVID-19 the morning of the event. Still, Bruce records video tributes for honorees Darlene Love and Steven Van Zandt, and his videos are shown during the event.
