1969: Child makes their debut at the Pandemonium in Wanamassa, New Jersey. By the end of the year, they’ll rename themselves Steel Mill.
1971: Bruce and Steve play The Upstage in Asbury Park, leading separate bands but each playing a slate of hits from the 1950s.
1976: The Chicken Scratch Tour moves on to Louisville with a show at the Macauley Theater.
1981: Bruce postpones a scheduled show in London to recover from the previous leg of the River Tour.
1988: Bruce and the E Street Band play their second of two Tunnel of Love Express shows at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.
2011: The Garden State Film Festival premieres Who Do I Think I Am, a biographical film about Clarence Clemons, at the Paramount Theater in Asbury Park. Meanwhile, Bruce joins local Asbury musicians (including Southside Johnny, Vini Lopez, Ed Manion, and more) at a panel and Nicky Addeo concert at the Wonder Bar. Following the show, Bruce stops by the after-party for Clarence’s film at Syanxis. It’s the last time Bruce and Clarence will be seen together in public.
