New for 2024: New entry for 2023

1970: Steven Van Zandt makes his Steel Mill debut at the Hullabaloo in Richmond.

1971: Bruce puts together an ad hoc band (known as Friendly Enemies on the promotional materials  but changed to Dr. Zoom and the Sonic Boom by the night of the shows) in order to land a gig opening for the Allman Brothers at Asbury Park’s Sunshine In. These two shows feature an on-stage Monopoly game and a baton twirler during the band’s set. (Lore has it that all Dr. Zoom shows featured these distractions, but this date is the only documented instance of it.)

1976: Bruce and Steve drop by Atlanta’s WQXI-FM for an interview with DJ Cat Simon.

1981: Bruce postpones a show in Birmingham to recover from the previous leg of the River Tour.

1983: Bruce checks out The Bangles’ performance at Magic Mountain in Southern California with Peter Philbin of Columbia Records. Impressed, Bruce convinces Philbin to sign The Bangles. Hear Susanna Hoffs tell the story below.

1985: Night Four of five at the Sydney Entertainment Center on the Born in the U.S.A. Tour.

2013: The final night in Melbourne on the Wrecking Ball Tour features the tour premiere of “Better Days.”

2018: Springsteen on Broadway continues its theatrical run at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York City.

2023: Bruce and the E Street Band bring their World Tour to the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
