1971: Bruce jams with local musicians at an open mic night at The Upstage in Asbury Park.
1973: Bruce plays the first night of seven at Oliver’s in Boston.
1981: A mere five days away from his scheduled twelve-show River Tour stand in the U.K., Bruce postpones all shows until late May and early June due to exhaustion from the American leg of the tour.
1990: Born in the U.S.A. is certified as 12x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
2009: Bruce and the E Street Band rehearse at Asbury Park’s Paramount Theater for the upcoming Working on a Dream Tour.
2012: Bruce and the expanded E Street Band play their last private pre-tour rehearsal at Asbury Park’s Convention Hall. Among the songs rehearsed: “Vigilante Man,” not played in 24 years. It will remain unplayed in concert.
2023: This time it’s Bruce who is laid low by illness (not COVID, though), forcing the postponement (and eventually re-postponement) of his scheduled show at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville.
