New for 2024: Audio for 2003

1973: What would have been Bruce’s first-ever appearance in Seattle is scuttled when he bows out of a scheduled gig opening for Paul Butterfield at the Paramount Theater. (Note: Brucebase lists this show as having been cancelled, but a newspaper review reveals that it went on without Bruce’s involvement.)

1981: In Lexington, Bruce and the E Street Band bring the River Tour to the Rupp Arena.

1988: Bruce and the band play their second of two nights at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

1994: Bruce and Patti take in a hockey game in New York City, where the Islanders play the Rangers.

1999: Rehearsals begin for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s Reunion Tour in Asbury Park.

2000: The Reunion Tour begins its Florida leg at Orlando Arena.

2003: In Jacksonville along the Rising Tour, the band covers “Let’s Go, Let’s Go, Let’s Go” in memory of Hank Ballard, who died the week prior. This show also features the tour debut (and only the second E Street Band performance) of “Better Days.” Watch the full show below.
