New for 2024: Video for 2014

1974: After firing drummer Vini Lopez three days earlier, Bruce cancels a show at the University of Toledo so that the band has time to rehearse with new drummer Ernest “Boom” Carter.

1977: Bruce and the E Street band return to the U.S. and continue the Lawsuit Tour at Detroit’s Masonic Temple Theater, where “Detroit Medley” makes its tour premiere.

1981: Bruce and band take the River Tour to the Civic Center in Lakeland, Florida.

1983: In the studio, Bruce records “Seven Tears” and “The Money We Didn’t Make.” The former circulates among collectors, the latter has not yet surfaced.

1988: At the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, Bruce films footage used in the video for “One Step Up.”

1995: Bruce joins Melissa Etheridge for her MTV Unplugged performance in Brooklyn. They perform a gorgeous duet of “Thunder Road” together.

1996: Bruce plays his third solo acoustic show in Germany, this time in Munich.

1997: Moving on to Melbourne, Bruce performs solo at the Palais Theatre, where he plays “4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)” for the first time in Australia.

2014: The first of two nights in Melbourne features a surprise guest in the opening numbers: Eddie Vedder joins the E Street Band for “Highway to Hell” and “Darkness on the Edge of Town.”  Another surprise shortly follows: a full performance of the Born in the U.S.A. album. Also tour premiering tonight: “Jole Blon,” “My Hometown,” “I’m Goin’ Down,” and “Factory.”
