1985: The Born in the U.S.A. Tour pulls into Charlotte for the first of two nights at the Charlotte Coliseum.
1988: The video for “Tunnel of Love” premieres on Friday Night Videos.
2004: Live in Barcelona is certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
2011: Bruce makes a traditional “surprise” appearance at Light of Day in Asbury Park, joining Jesse Malin for “Broken Radio,” Willie Nile for “Heaven Help the Lonely,” Alejandro Escovedo for “Always a Friend,” before launching into his own acoustic mini-set and a full set with Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers.
2016: Bruce and the E Street Band rehearse in Pittsburgh for the start of the River Tour (2016 version). They rehearse two Bowie songs as a tribute, “Suffragette City” and “Changes,” but they will end up playing a different song altogether when the tour opens the following night.
