New for 2024: New entry for 2023

1973: Bruce and his band open for Travis, Shook and The Club Wow for two shows at The Main Point in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

1985: Bruce and the E Street Band play the first of two shows at the Market Square Arena in Indianapolis.

1996: Bruce plays an acoustic set at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier in Montreal.

2006: Bruce attends Jann Wenner’s 60th birthday party at Le Bernardin in New York City, and he performs a song he wrote for the occasion. “Jann’s Song” will never surface, but it reportedly includes the lyrics, “I never guessed a man whose magazine once changed my life / Would one day want to have a threesome with my wife!

2021: On Apple Music’s Beyond the Influence Radio show, host Tim McGraw interviews Bruce about his latest album, Letter to You.

2023: The first of a series of scholarly symposiums is convened at Monmouth University to celebrate the golden anniversary of Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J. Panelists include Mike Appel, Vini Lopez, Garry Tallent, David Sancious, and more.

  1. New Entry 2023: One can hear the Who’s (Townshend’s) influence–i.e.”Pinball Wizard”; “Tommy”–on “It’s Hard to be a Saint in the City” in Bruce’s original concept of the song and in the Monmouth U. performance.
