Finally–after years of pent-up demand for a live album and the development of a healthy bootleg black market, Bruce releases his first live album, and it’s a doozy: a five-LP/3-CD compilation called Live 1975-85. It’s been a year since the end of the Born in the U.S.A. Tour, but Bruce-mania is still at a fever pitch. The new box set is tremendously hyped, initial demand is high, and the news coverage is intense.

When Bruce and the E Street Band bring the Reunion Tour to Indianapolis, they’re joined on stage by an audience member, who plays guitar on “Working on the Highway.” This is the first concert to be held at the new arena, and fans in attendance are not happy with the sound quality.

A scheduled Rising Tour show in Indianapolis is postponed to December due to Clarence’s detached retina.

VH1 Storytellers is certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Bruce and several members of the Sessions Band spend a night off in London catching Lucinda Williams’ show at Shepherds Bush Empire. Bruce joins Lucinda on stage for two songs, “Disgusted” and “Joy.”

Bruce and the E Street Band continue the final stretch of the Working on a Dream Tour with a show at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, where Born to Run gets a full album performance and “Back in Your Arms” makes a rare appearance. This show is available as part of Bruce’s official archive series–get it here.

Bruce appears on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, along with Outlaw Pete illustrator Frank Caruso.

Bruce appears at Stand Up for Heroes IX at Madison Square Garden in New York City, performing a four-song acoustic set, cracking a few jokes, and auctioning off a guitar, concert tickets, backstage passes, and his mom’s lasagna, raising an astounding $740,000.
