1944: Bobby King, backing vocalist on “Roll of the Dice” and “Man’s Job” and throughout World Tour 1992 and World Tour 1993, is born in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

1974: Bruce and the E Street Band play a show at the Tucson Community Center.

1975: A rainy night plagues Bruce’s performance at the Carter Barron Amphitheater in Washington DC’s Rock Creek Park. Heavy rain delays the start of the show by two hours, and lingering moisture disrupts Bruce’s guitar throughout the show, causing additional mid-show delays. Still, the performance is great, and the crowd is hot. Listen to the rare instrumental “Funk Song” below.

1978: Bruce’s cover of “Summertime Blues” makes its debut in his Darkness Tour show in Miami.

1992: Night Four of eleven in East Rutherford on World Tour 1992 sees the tour premieres of “Trapped” and “Darlington County.”

2005: Bruce brings his solo Devils and Dust Tour to Pittsburgh, where local boy Joe Grushecky makes his customary guest appearance, dueting with Bruce on “Homestead” in the encores. This show also features the tour premiere of “One Step Up.”

2008: At the second of three nights at Giants Stadium on the Magic Tour, Bruce and the band perform “Held Up Without a Gun” for only the third time ever, Jay Weinberg makes his E Street Band debut on “Born to Run,” and Jesse Malin and Dave Bielanko guest star on “Twist and Shout.”

2009: The Working on a Dream Tour moves across Spain to Seville, where “Quarter to Three” is tour premiered by request. Jay Weinberg sits in for Max during the encores.

2012: Night Two in Gothenburg culminates in the return of “Jungleland,” performed for the first time since the passing of Clarence Clemons. A visibly emotional Jake does his uncle proud. The show also features the tour premieres of “Lost in the Flood,” “Frankie,” and “Where the Bands Are.” This show is available for purchase as part of Bruce’s official archive series–get it here.

2013: Bruce wraps up the European Wrecking Ball Tour with a second show in Kilkenny. Another full album is in store–this time Born to Run–along with a triplet of tour premieres: “Wild Billy’s Circus Story,” “Man at the Top” (played for only the third time ever), and “When You Walk in the Room.”

2016: The European leg of the River Tour nears its end with this show in Oslo. Early arrivals are treated to a pre-show acoustic “Working on the Highway,” but everyone gets to enjoy a full album performance of The River, played in full for the final time.
