1969: Child plays a gig at Le Teendezvous in New Shrewsbury, New Jersey.
1970: Steel Mill headlines a show at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. When the show runs past the school’s curfew, the school kills the power. Vini Lopez refuses to stop drumming and is arrested for disorderly conduct.
1978: The Darkness on the Edge of Town Tour begins at Shea’s Buffalo Theater in Buffalo, New York. Besides the obvious album track premieres, this show also marks the first performances of “Paradise by the ‘C’” and “Fire,” as well as the first “Sad Eyes” version of “Backstreets” and the only full-band performance of “The Promise” until 2010. 1982: Bruce sits in with Cats on a Smooth Surface at The Stone Pony.
1984: Bruce and the E Street Band rehearse for the upcoming Born in the U.S.A. Tour at the former home of Big Man’s West in Red Bank.
1988: The final night of the American leg of the Tunnel of Love Express Tour at Madison Square Garden. This show is available for purchase as part of Bruce’s official archive series–get it here.
1992: Bruce hires the multi-talented Crystal Taliefero for his upcoming tour, while rehearsals with the new band continue.
1999: Bruce and the E Street Band play their final show of a four-night Reunion stand at Earls Court in London.
2008: Night 2 of 3 at RDS Arena in Dublin on the final European leg of the Magic Tour.
2009: The final show of the first American leg of the Working on a Dream Tour in East Rutherford features the tour premieres of “Something in the Night,” “Incident on 57th Street,” and “Cover Me.”
2013: The Wrecking Ball Tour stops in Naples for a show at the Piazza del Plebiscito, where the band opens with “O Sole Mio.” During the sign request collection, a fan actually requests “Crazy Rocker,” and it’s hard to tell if Bruce remembered that’s an actual song he’d (partially, at least) written. (He plays “Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)” instead.)
2014: Bruce and Joe Grushecky play their second of two shows at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall in Pittsburgh, featuring another eclectic set of rarities, including an acoustic “Outlaw Pete” and “Jersey Girl” along with rare outings for “Save My Love,” “Pink Cadillac,” “I’ll Work For Your Love,” “Savin’ Up,” and more.
2018: Springsteen on Broadway continues its theatrical run at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York City.

FANTASTIC “mash-up” of “Lucky Town” from Bruce with Joe and the Houserockers from Pittsburgh, 5.23.14. This is how it’s meant to be played live! Bruce’s 2 minute, slashing guitar solo-outro is incredible, as are the Houserockers throughout.
