New for 2023: Video for 2014

1966: Bruce enters a recording studio for the very first time when The Castiles record their first two songs: “Baby I” and “That’s What You Get.” Both are co-written by Bruce and George Theiss. The former will be officially released on Chapter & Verse in 2016; the latter is still unreleased but can be heard below.

1973: Bruce cancels a scheduled performance at Michigan Technological University to make room for studio time for the Wild and Innocent sessions.

1988: Night Two of five in the final U.S. stand for the Tunnel of Love Express Tour. Bruce and the band exit to a “New York, New York” instrumental.

1997: Bruce performs a solo acoustic show at the Acropolis in Nice, featuring the tour premiere of “You Can Look (But You Better Not Touch).” This show is available as part of Bruce’s official archive series–get it here.

1999: Bruce and the E Street Band kick off a four-night Reunion Tour stand at Earls Court in London.

2002: Bruce attends the opening dedication ceremony for Freehold’s Vinyard Park to honor his early patron and supporter, “Tex” Vinyard.

2009: Max returns as the Working on a Dream Tour arrives at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC. The show features three back-to-back tour premieres: “Little Latin Lupe Lu,” “Hava Nagila”(!) and “Blinded by the Light.”

2012: Night Two in Barcelona for the Wrecking Ball Tour.

2014: The High Hopes Tour wraps with a second show at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, where Bruce pulls out six tour premieres in the first seven songs. For more highlights from this show, see my Where the Band Was report from this night.

2018: Springsteen on Broadway continues its theatrical run at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York City.
