It was fun while it lasted.

Divine Fits formed back in 2011 as an indie super-group of sorts. Led by Britt Daniel of Spoon and Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade, Divine Fits was momentarily all the buzz, but in 2013 they disbanded to return to their regular gigs.

During their brief run, Divine Fits released an album of original material and worked up a repertoire of complementary covers for their live sets. One of those was Bruce’s “Hungry Heart,” which the band debuted in Australia on Triple J’s Like a Version show in early 2013.

(Update 1/2/2024: Unfortunately the video was removed from YouTube.)

The band delivered a faithful performance, acoustic and stripped down with a loose, relaxed (Britt almost flubs a line but catches himself in a split-second) vibe–a perfect cover for a weekend morning.
