On January 31, 1998, Bruce joined Jon Bon Jovi on stage at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank at a benefit concert for the memorial fund of a slain local police officer.

Together they played a one-time-only rendition of Bon Jovi’s first number one hit, “You Give Love a Bad Name,” with Bruce taking lead vocals on the second verse.

And just because we all need to be reminded from time to time that rock stars used to look like this, here’s the original 1986 single from Slippery When Wet.

  1. amazing show. Danny Devito came out….said we know what we are here for….the curtain went up and everyone was on stage for this times it for real……..I love living in central jersey with the opportunity to attend these things.
