Meeting Across the River: Steve Earle and The Dukes with Bruce Springsteen, Sweet Virginia

One time only, way back in February 1998: Bruce joined Steve Earle and The Dukes on stage at Tradewinds in Sea Bright, NJ to perform a “perfectly good British hilbilly song” by The Rolling Stones.

This was Bruce’s one and only performance to date of “Sweet Virginia.” Here’s the original and still definitive by the Stones:
