Performed together only thrice: Bruce and Joe Grushecky have a good time sending themselves up with Joe’s “I Still Look Good (for Sixty).”

Here’s the first time they played it together, from night one of Bruce’s post-High Hopes Tour shows with Joe in Pittsburgh, May 22, 2014.

Joe released “I Still Look Good (For Sixty)” on his 2013 album, East of Eden. Even on an eclectic album that crosses styles and genres, this song stands out as a lark.

In a contemporaneous interview for Guitar World, Joe called it “one of those songs that puts a smile on your face. I get a laugh every time I sing it.” It’s true–we can even see it in Joe’s acoustic performances.

Both Joe and Bruce are now well past sixty, and perhaps that’s why they’ve stopped performing it together. At least we have a trio of great performances to make us smile.
