(Check out the first installment featuring covers of &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/estreetshuffle.com\/index.php\/2021\/09\/11\/roll-of-the-dice-im-on-fire\/\">I&#8217;m on Fire<\/a>&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/estreetshuffle.com\/index.php\/2021\/03\/05\/cover-me-round-up-im-on-fire\/\">here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>Leading off today&#8217;s tour is Toronto indie-disco\/neo-soul band, Human Magic. Recorded during the pandemic, their cover of &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/estreetshuffle.com\/index.php\/2021\/12\/25\/roll-of-the-dice-dancing-in-the-dark\/\">Dancing in the Dark<\/a>&#8221; is urgent, funky, and features a trombone solo instead of The Big Man&#8217;s sax. Now let&#8217;s turn the pace and volume up a notch with Michigan-based Billy Moon, and his awesomely hard-rocking version of &#8220;Dancing in the Dark.&#8221; This one&#8217;s been around for several years, but it&#8217;s been undeservingly under the radar.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"758\" height=\"427\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lWYb4x_gxo4?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/div>\n<p>We&#8217;ve got time for one more in this installment, and it&#8217;s one of my favorites.<\/p>\n<p>Like most of us, the Minnesota-based Holtze family found themselves spending a lot of extra time together (and almost zero time with anyone else).
