In the summer of ’94, Bruce improvised his way through a cover of Little Richard’s “Bama Lama Bama Loo” with Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers. It went great… if you didn’t pay attention to the lyrics.
Bruce plays guitar on the title track of Joe Grushecky’s 2009 album, but even without Bruce’s contribution, “East Carson Street” is a great song about staying true to one’s roots.
“Talking to the King” is a sweet, count-your-blessings rocker and a ton of fun in concert. No wonder Joe and Bruce have played it together 28 times. Check out some of the best inside.
