1968: The Castiles play a gig at Le Teendezvous in New Shrewsbury, New Jersey.

1973: The new issue of Rolling Stone features a profile of Bruce, their first of many to come. (Thanks to Andy Swanson for the scan!)

1976: Bruce and the E Street Band play at the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Auditorium in Chattanooga, their first of three nights in Tennessee.
1980: Bruce and his studio team complete the mixes for “Cadillac Ranch” and “Two Hearts” at Clover Studios in Los Angeles.
1981: Bruce plays his first-ever show in Belgium (and the first ever “Stolen Car” in Europe) when the River Tour arrives in Brussels.
1982: Bruce in the studio at the Power Station in New York, recording for what will become Born in the U.S.A.
1994: “Streets of Philadelphia” is certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
1998: Douglas Springsteen, Bruce’s father, passes away at the age of 73.

1999: Bruce and the E Street Band bring the Reunion Tour to Zurich.

2000: At Night Two at the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, Bruce and the E Street Band perform a rare “Back in Your Arms,” and Joe Grushecky guest-stars on “Hungry Heart.”
2005: Bruce releases Devils & Dust, his thirteenth studio album. (The album was released in Europe a day earlier.)



2006: Bruce and the Sessions Band play their final rehearsal show at Asbury Park’s Convention Hall, opening and closing with debuts of “Long Black Veil” and “The Daring Young Man on the Flying Trapeze” respectively.
2009: The Working on a Dream Tour stops in Atlanta for a show at the Philips Arena. “Trapped,” “Detroit Medley,” and “96 Tears” make their tour debuts.

2012: Los Angeles gets a pair of Wrecking Ball shows at the Sports Arena. Night One sees the tour premieres of “Something in the Night,” “California Sun,” and the customary SoCal guest appearance by Tom Morello on “The Ghost of Tom Joad.”


2014: Bruce plays a River-heavy set at Aaron’s Amphitheater in Atlanta, featuring the tour premieres of “Independence Day” and “Drive All Night.”
2019: “Hello Sunshine,” the first single off of Bruce’s upcoming Western Stars album, is released to widespread acclaim.
2025: Bruce sits down for an interview with the Sunday Times at his home in Colts Neck. Later in the day, he inducts Joe Ely and John Fogerty into the American Music Honors at Monmouth University, where he also performs with Fogerty, Tom Morello, Smokey Robinson, Jackson Browne, Nils Lofgren, Emmylou Harris, Darlene Love, Nora Guthrie, Patti Scialfa, and Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul.
