1974: Bruce and his still unnamed band play their final of four nights at Gertie’s in Dallas.
1976: Bruce and the band play a warm-up for their upcoming Chicken Scratch Tour at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park.
1978: Bruce works on mixing and overdubs for “Racing in the Street” at the Record Plant in New York City.
1980: Bruce and the E Street Band record “Out in the Street” at the Power Station in New York City.
1985: Bruce plays in Australia for the first time as the next leg of the Born in the U.S.A. Tour kicks off with a six-night stand at the Sydney Entertainment Center.
1992: “Better Days” is released as the first single from Bruce’s upcoming Lucky Town album.
1994: Bruce wins the Best Original Song Academy Award for “Streets of Philadelphia” and performs the song live during the ceremony.
2001: In advance of the broadcast debut of Live in New York City, Bob Costas interviews Bruce for… HBO Sports? Watch Bob and Bruce talk baseball below.
2004: Jon Bon Jovi, co-owner of the Philadelphia Soul arena football team, invites some friends to take in his team’s game against Colorado in his suite at the Wachovia Center. The broadcast team covering the team catches and refers to Bruce and Jon on camera several times, but Southside Johnny gets no love, and Al Gore gets… whatever.
2006: Bruce and the Sessions band rehearse at the Paramount Theater in Asbury Park.
2009: Bruce and the E Street Band rehearse for the upcoming Working on a Dream Tour at Asbury Park’s Convention Hall. Afterward, Bruce joins the Panther Club Band on-stage at a Ranney School benefit concert in Long Branch.
2018: Springsteen on Broadway continues its theatrical run at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York City.
2023: President Biden awards Bruce with the National Medal of Arts in the East Room of the White House.
2024: Bruce calls into E Street Radio to discuss the new leg of his world tour with host Jim Rotolo.
Was lucky enough to see all 5 shows in Sydney in 1985 and record them. Fantastic memories. He played over 40 songs during the five show run.
