1970: Steel Mill rehearses for their upcoming and destined-for-legend Clearwater Swim Club show with fill-in drummer Dave Hazlett covering for Vini, who is stuck in Richmond due to a legal misunderstanding.

1978: Bruce and the E Street Band bring the Darkness Tour to the Uptown Theater in Chicago.
1985: The Born in the U.S.A. Tour stadium leg continues with a show at the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis.
1988: Bruce plays his first and only show in Hungary when the Human Rights Now! Tour arrives in Budapest. Tour premiering tonight: “Working on the Highway” and “Hungry Heart.” Meanwhile, Bruce’s Chimes of Freedom EP is released to support the tour.
2003: Bruce and the E Street Band play their first ever show at Boston’s Fenway Park, opening with the E Street Band premiere of “Diddy Wah Diddy” and featuring a rare “Janey, Don’t You Lose Heart” and a show-closing “Dirty Water” with Peter Wolf.
2016: Gearing up for publicity surrounding the release of Born to Run (the book), Bruce tours Freehold with a CBS film crew and sits down for an interview at his home. The footage will air later in the month (look for it in our September 18th installment).
2018: Springsteen on Broadway continues its theatrical run at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York City. In attendance tonight: former first lady Michelle Obama.
2023: Bruce reveals he has peptic ulcer disease, and under the advice of his doctor he announces the postponement of his remaining 2023 tour dates.
