1970: Steel Mill plays their second of two nights at The String Factory in Richmond.
1971: The Sundance Blues Band plays an afternoon gig at The Student Prince in Asbury Park.
1978: Bruce and the E Street Band play Red Rocks for the first time at this Darkness Tour stop. This show also notches two additional firsts: Bruce’s first-ever show in Colorado and his first-ever cover of “I Fought the Law.”
1982: Bruce makes his by now customary “surprise” appearance with Cats on a Smooth Surface at The Stone Pony, with a setlist that includes covers of “Come On, Let’s Go,” “Little Latin Lupe Lu,” “Sweet Little Sixteen,” “Lucille,” and more.
1989: Bruce makes a guest appearance with Bobby Bandiera at Martell’s Sea Breeze in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey.
1992: World Tour 1992 moves on from Stockholm to Milan, with this first of two nights at Forum di Assago.
1999: Bruce and the reunited E Street Band play their second of two nights in Arnhem, The Netherlands, where they tour premiere “Trapped.”
2000: Night Four of ten at Madison Square Garden, as the Reunion Tour’s last stand continues. Highlights include the last “New York City Serenade” of the tour, “Take ’em as They Come,” and a Soozie Tyrell guest appearance for “The Ghost of Tom Joad.” In attendance tonight: Michael J. Fox and Tracey Pollan.
2004: CBS Sunday Morning airs a terrific profile of and interview with Patti Scialfa as part of her promotional tour for 23rd Street Lullaby.
2005: Elliott Murphy makes a guest appearance on “Better Days” when Bruce tour premieres it (along with “Cadillac Ranch“) at his solo acoustic show in Paris.
2006: Bruce and the Sessions Band deliver a great show at the Tweeter Center in Camden, tour premiering a full-band “Maria’s Bed.” Southside Johnny and Joe Grushecky join Bruce for “Pay Me My Money Down.”
2011: Fans gather at The Stone Pony to remember Clarence Clemons, who passed away two days prior.
2013: Bruce and the E Street Band perform Born to Run from start to finish during their Wrecking Ball show at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena. This show also features the first full-band (E Street Band, at least) performance of “Long Time Comin’.”
2018: Springsteen on Broadway continues its theatrical run at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York City.
2019: Bruce and Patti attend a celebration of life at The Stone Pony for the late Kerry Layton, Patti’s life-long friend.
