1968: The Castiles play a gig at Le Teendezvous in New Shrewsbury, New Jersey.
1977: The final stand of the Lawsuit Tour begins with the first of four nights at Boston’s Music Hall.
1985: In between Bruce’s first and second shows at the Sydney Entertainment Center, Neil Young plays a gig. Bruce joins him during the encore for “Down by the River.”
1988: The Tunnel of Love Express Tour stops in Atlanta for the first of two nights at The Omni.
2003: Night One in Sydney on the Rising Tour is plagued by power failures–four times in the first hour of the show. But the show goes on, and to thank fans for their patience, Bruce plays “Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)” — its first E Street stage appearance since mid-1999.
2008: “Lost in the Flood” and “Glory Days” makes their tour premieres at Bruce’s Magic show at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati.
2013: The third and final night at Sydney’s Allphones arena on the Wrecking Ball Tour brings Australia’s first-ever performance of “Night” and “Prove It All Night (’78).”
2016: The River Tour (2016 version) comes to the Pacific Northwest, starting with a show at Portland’s Moda Center. For more highlights, see my Where the Band Was report for this show.
2018: Springsteen on Broadway continues its theatrical run at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York City.
2021: Bruce and President Barack Obama release the sixth episode of their podcast, Renegades: Born in the U.S.A.. This episode is entitled “Wrestling with Ghosts: American Men.”
