1964: Bruce watches The Beatles make their live American debut on The Ed Sullivan Show. Bruce is inspired, galvanized, and dedicates himself to learning music and playing his guitar.
1973: The Asbury Park Press reviews Bruce’s debut album, Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.
1974: Bruce and his band play their last of three nights at Richards in Altanta, opening for NRBQ.
1977: Bruce and the E Street Band bring the “Lawsuit Tour” to Kleinhan’s Music Hall in Buffalo.
1981: Hours before he is scheduled to perform, Bruce cancels his River Tour show in Indianapolis when he comes down with strep throat.
1991: Following a benefit concert for Sting’s Rainforest Foundation, Sting invites Bruce, Joni Mitchell and other musician friends to a party at his house.
2017: Night Two in Sydney again features the Australian Urban Orchestra for “New York City Serenade” along with a River outtake pairing of “Rendezvous” and “Be True.” Also tour premiering tonight: “Adam Raised a Cain” and “Detroit Medley.”
