1974: Night Two for Bruce and the (still unnamed) E Street Band at Richards in Atlanta, opening for NRBQ.
1977: Bruce and the band play Rochester’s Auditorium Theater, in a show that is available for purchase as part of Bruce’s official archive series–get it here.
1997: Bruce plays his second of five solo acoustic shows in Sydney.
2004: Bruce and the late Warren Zevon win the Grammy Award for Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for “Disorder in the House.”
2006: Bruce wins the Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance Grammy award for “Devils & Dust” and performs the song live at the awards ceremony.
“Devils & Dust” was also nominated for Song of the Year, Best Rock song, and Best Long Form Music Video, but it does not win those categories. Devils & Dust (the album) is nominated for but does not win the Best Contemporary Folk Album award.
2009: Bruce takes home the Best Rock Song Grammy Award for “Girls in Their Summer Clothes.” The song is also nominated for Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance but does not win.
2013: Bruce is named the MusiCares Person of the Year and is honored with a tribute concert. Bruce joins the artists on-stage for the closing five numbers.
2014: The final night in Perth marks the point where the High Hopes Tour breaks wide open, starting a run of shows with wild, unpredictable covers, tributes to local heroes, and anything goes requests. This show is the first not to feature any songs from The Rising since that album debuted, and the show opens with a fantastic cover of AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell.” The encores include the third-ever performance of “Terry’s Song.” Also tour premiering tonight: “Streets of Fire,” “Candy’s Room,” “Downbound Train,” “Radio Nowhere,” “The Promise,” and “American Land.”
2016: The revived River Tour plays the Times Union Center in Albany and features the tour premieres of “Be True” and “Detroit Medley.”
