1973: Bruce performs in Chicago for the first time, beginning a five-night stint at The Quiet Knight, opening for The Persuasions, an a capella group.
1981: The Canadian leg of the River tour ends at the Ottawa Civic Center.
1985: Night Two at the Providence Civic Center on the Born in the U.S.A. Tour is captured on video.
1987: At his home studio in Holmdel, Bruce records two songs for Tunnel of Love, neither of which will make it to the finished album. Both “Pretty Baby, Will You Be Mine” and “Things Ain’t That Way” remain unreleased to this day.
1988: Bruce and the E Street Band rehearse for the Tunnel of Love Express Tour at the Expo Theater in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey.
1992: Bruce announces his first new albums–two of them!–in five years. Human Touch and Lucky Town will be released to much anticipation in March. (Thanks to friend of the blog Andy Swanson for the scans!)
2014: Bruce and the band rehearse for the High Hopes Tour at the Bellville Velodrome in Cape Town.
2016: A rare show postponement due to Winter Storm Jonas. This show is rescheduled to March 28th.
2018: Springsteen on Broadway continues its theatrical run at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York City. Actor Hugh Jackman is among those in attendance tonight.
2023: Bruce and the E Street Band resume rehearsals for their upcoming world tour at Cure Insurance Arena in Trenton. The main set is now almost complete.
