New for 2024: Video for 2012
1973: Bruce and the E Street Band conclude their seven-day, twice-a-day gig at Paul’s Mall in Boston.
1984: Bruce joins John Eddie for six songs at the Patrix in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
2005: MTV Unplugged (the home video release) is certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
2006: Bruce attends The Nebraska Project, a tribute event to the Springsteen album of the same name, at the World Financial Center Winter Garden in New York City. A series of performers cover the tracks from the album; Bruce then joins all the artists for an encore of “Oklahoma Hills” and explains the true motivation behind the famous album.
2012: Bruce makes a “surprise” appearance at the Light of Day benefit in Asbury Park (it’s usually more of a surprise when he doesn’t show up), joining Garland Jeffreys for “Wild in the Streets,” Willie Nile for “One Guitar,” a solo rendition of “Incident on 57th Street,” and then an entire set with Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers.
2014: High Hopes is released, Bruce’s eighteenth studio album.
To mark the occasion, Bruce and the E Street Band (+Tom Morello, -Steve Van Zandt) appear on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, playing “Heaven’s Wall” (the first live performance of that song), and “Just Like Fire Would.”
Oh, and the first and only performance of “Gov. Christie Traffic Jam.”
2020: Bruce and Patti attend the swearing-in ceremony for their son Sam as he becomes a firefighter for the Jersey City Fire Department.
I wonder if a complete soundboard exists of “Oklahoma Hills”, The Nebraska Project, January 14, 2006?
