1973: Bruce cancels a scheduled show at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut.
1977: Bruce gifts Robert Gordon with his song “Fire” and joins Robert in the studio, playing piano on the recorded track.
1978: The Darkness Tour enters into its final month with a show at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. If you’re a fan of the tour arrangement of “Prove It All Night,” this is your show–the epic intro is the longest ever.
1980: Bruce and the E Street Band play their second of two River Tour nights at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh.
2007: Bruce ushers in the season when he tour premieres “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” at his Magic show in Arnhem.
2011: Bruce joins Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band on stage at their Madison Square Garden show, joining them in “Old Time Rock and Roll.”
2014: U2 performs in Times Square for World AIDS Day, but Bono is out of action following a bike accident last month. Bono’s buddies come to the rescue: Bruce and Chris Martin each take a turn fronting the band, with Bruce taking point on “Where the Streets Have No Name” and “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.”
2016: Bruce continues his promotional book tour, stopping in Austin to meet fans at BookPeople.
2018: Springsteen on Broadway enters the final month of its theatrical run at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York City.
