Shhh…. I’m still on vacation, so don’t tell my family I popped in for a minute, okay?
Friend of the blog Dan French alerted me that today’s Kingdom of Days post didn’t include an embedded media clip I referred to in the post. (Thanks, Dan!)
Upon a bit of research (meaning I actually opened one of the e-mails my blog sends every day), it appears that none of the embedded YouTube videos were included. And it seems like it’s been that way for at least a few months, and possibly longer. (Only YouTube videos are affected–media clips hosted on other platforms seem to work fine.)
So first: I apologize–I had no idea the e-mail versions of every blog post are missing all those great audio and video clips.
I haven’t been able to figure out why that’s happening, so I can’t promise when (or even if) it’ll be fixed. (If any of you are WordPress experts and can advise me, I’d be much obliged.)
The best advice I can give at the moment is to click the article title at the top of the e-mail each time you get one, and that’ll take you to the blog itself where you can read the article with all of the media clips included and intact.
I know that’s probably an annoying extra step, and I apologize for that. I’ll do my best to figure it out in my spare time and update you if I find a fix.
Thanks again for following the blog. I’ll be back at my keyboard on August 1st with a new run of Roll of the Dice, Cover Me, and Meeting Across the River entries.
See you soon!

Thank you, Chris!
Ken – It has been like that for at least the last 16 months when I discovered your magnificent blog!
How embarrassing! I obviously never even looked at my own emails!
Appology accepted. Now go and enjoy what’s left of your vacation! 😉
That’s what I’ve been doing – going to the website post. Didn’t realise it was a mistake until you admitted it! Enjoy your holiday Ken.
Thanks Ken! The fine work far outweighs any technical issues – keep it up, no worries 🙂
