1980: The River Tour arrives in Washington, DC for the first of a two-night stand at the Capital Center in Largo.

No less than four tour premieres tonight, two of them with guest stars: “Out in the Street,” “Because the Night” (with Bono and Dave Stewart), “So Young and in Love,” and “If I Should Fall Behind” (with Dion). And if the show needed more cameos, Bruce was happy to oblige: actor Vincent Pastore from The Sopranos introduced the encores.

2022: Bruce makes and appearance by phone on E Street Radio, speaking with Jim Rotolo about his new album, Only the Strong Survive. That evening, he appears on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
