New for 2023: Video for 1984

1981: Bruce and the E Street Band play their fifth of six shows at London’s Wembley Arena on the River Tour. This show is available as part of Bruce’s official archive series–get it here.

1984: Bruce releases his seventh studio album, Born in the U.S.A.

1985: The European leg of the Born in the U.S.A. Tour continues at the first of two nights at St. James’ Park in Newcastle. The British television coverage is hysterical to watch; even in 1985, some critics still didn’t know quite what to make of him.

2000: A momentous Reunion show in Atlanta, featuring the world premieres of “Further On (Up the Road),” which opens the show, and “American Skin (41 Shots)” which sparks a controversy with law enforcement that will heighten as the tour rolls into its final, legendary, New York City stand next week. Take a listen to that debut performance of “American Skin (41 Shots)” below, in a crystal clear IEM recording that has not circulated until now.

2005: The Devils & Dust solo acoustic tour moves on to Italy, where this first show in Bologna is highlighted by the tour premiere of “My Father’s House.”

2009: Night One of three in Stockholm opens with the tour premiere of “Who’ll Stop the Rain” and features the final performance to date of “The Wrestler.”
