1973: Bruce and his band open for Stevie Wonder at Kutztown State College.

1976: Finding themselves with time to spare following a gig at Duke University, Bruce and the E Street band play an extra show at the Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte.

1988: Night Two in Detroit along the Tunnel of Love Express Tour. Watch Bruce perform “One Step Up” below.

1989: Video Anthology/1978-1988 is certified 3x multi-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

2008: Bruce opens with “Trapped” and pulls out the Magic tour premiere of “Point Blank” and a very rare “Your Own Worst Enemy” at his KeyArena show in Seattle. For more highlights see my Where the Band Was report from this date.

2012: Night Two in Philadelphia features a rare (outside of Philly, anyway) “Streets of Philadelphia” and a glorious, brassy “Kitty’s Back.” Also today: Bruce appears on the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone, which features an interview with him by Jon Stewart.

2018: Springsteen on Broadway continues its theatrical run at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York City.

2021: Bruce and President Barack Obama release Episode 7 of their Renegades: Born in the U.S.A. podcast, entitled “Finding Home: Fatherhood.”

2023: Darkness on the Edge of Town” makes its tour debut at Little Caesars Arena when Bruce and the E Street Band bring their World Tour to Detroit.
