Meanwhile, for those of us not at the show, The Ben Stiller show gets educational with a lesson on “Counting with Bruce Springsteen.”

A special 30th Anniversary Edition of Born to Run is released today, featuring a new documentary (Wings for Wheels: The Making of Born to Run) and a new live album (Hammersmith Odeon: London ’75). To mark the occasion, NPR airs a new interview with Bruce by Terry Gross.

The Magic Tour comes to Albany, where Bruce and the E Street Band tour premiere a Wild & Innocent double-header: “4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)” and “The E Street Shuffle.”

Bruce has a laugh at his own expense, greeting his Milwaukee crowd with “Good evening, Ohio!” (a nod to the mistake he’d made legitimately the show before). The show itself opens with “Cadillac Ranch” and includes the tour premiere of “Living Proof” by request, along with rare outings for “Loose Ends,” “Kitty’s Back,” and “Jole Blon” and a complete album performance of Born to Run.

Bruce’s Wrecking Ball show in Omaha is the closest we’ve come to a full-album Nebraska performance, with six songs from that album played, three of which are tour premieres. We’re also getting close to the holidays now, which means it’s time for Santa Claus to come to town.

Springsteen on Broadway continues its theatrical run at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York City.

Springsteen on Broadway continues its theatrical run at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York City.
